Emails from the future...

The Jonas Brothers or These Jonas bother?

Seriously, I still dont get what´s with these kids. Surfing on the internet, I found a comment written by a music journalist. I want to share it with you guys.

"The Jonas Brothers are a plague of Biblical proportions: their songs are on the radio, their tv show is a hit, their tours sell out to hysterical crowds of screaming girls and their film, in which they act, sing and get screamed at, was a box office and DVD smash.
What makes this plague so worrying is not only the rate at which it has infected girls around the globe, but also how little of substance is involved. The Brothers are nice, clean, pious and terribly, terribly innocuous in word, music and deed.
Perhaps it is better for the youth of today to idolise these smiling blanks rather than former-sex-symbol-and-now-bald-wreck Britney Spears, but is fantasising about people this passionless really something we want to encourage?
A plague of dull niceness may not be threatening, but it is a terrible thing to wish upon our teenagers. Whatever happened to the dream of rock'n'roll?"

IRON MAIDEN IN LIMA!!!

The most important heavy metal band in the world, Iron Maiden, visited our country for the first time ever on Thursday, March 26.
They have their own private plane, known as "Ed Force One". It is piloted by the vocalist Bruce Dickinson. The plane is used to transport a 60-member crew, including musicians, technicians and the equipment for their presentations around the world. The plane is decorated with the mummy mascot of the band called “Eddie”. Iron Maiden was founded in 1975 by the legendary bassist and songwriter, Steve Harris. As one of the most successful heavy metal bands, Iron Maiden has sold more than 70 million albums worldwide, including five US platinum albums.

We are getting sick! HELP!

Dr. Truman:

I´m 14 years old and I have a terrible flu, normally I don’t get sick very often. But since I traveled to Timbuktu I get sick very often, like two times a month. I think I got a tropical virus or something. This time my flu is very severe, I have a terrible headache, I´m congested and my throat hurts a lot, I also have a light stomachache. My friends and family told me to stay in bed, to drink fluids and hot tea, but I think that I have to take some pills or vitamins.

Dear Doctor, I’m not feeling very well, I have a sore throat and I cough a lot. My symptoms are constant headaches and I think I have a fever. Everything started out of the blue. I haven´t gone to the doctor, yet. My grandmother told me to take pills.

My name is Gonzalo and I am 14 years old. I think I have a sore throat.
Doctor, I also have a headache, an eareache, a cough and I am very tired. I can´t play any sport.
This sore throat started when I went to the beach.
My mother told me to go to the doctor and not go out. My doctor told me to take some pills and that´s all I have tried.

I need help

Dear Doctor House,

I am 14 years old. I am sick. I have a terrible headache. It started last weekend. These are the symptoms: I feel tired and I think I have a fever. Everything started when I was told I had to read a book written by Eduardo Torres. I didn´t go to the doctor because I thought it wasn´t important. My mom told me to take pain relievers and not to read those books anymore. Also, she told me to stay in bed the whole weekend. What can I do?

DOCTOR help me please, I´m very worried. Since I was eight years old, I´ve suffered from very strong stomachaches. This started when I went out with my family. We ate out and we had a "David Pachamanca". Now I am 14 and I´m still in pain. People have recommended some painrelievers but I don´t know what to do.

Dear doctor Colina:
When I was 11 years old, I broke my right hand. Now, I’m 13 years old and I have pain in my right hand and sometimes, I even cry because it hurts so much. This problem started when I was playing table tennis in 2007. I went to the doctor immediately. Dr de Silva Santisteban told me to take a pain reliever and told me not to play table tennis for 6 months.
What should I do?
